Brian Weiner and Dana Place
Partners
Brian Weiner has been in the communications industry since 1990, beginning as the President and Chief Operating Officer of The KMS Companies in Woburn, Massachusetts. During his tenure at KMS he introduced the company into the demand-based digital print arena by purchasing the 23rd Xerox Docutech printing system in the United States. Given the enormous success and acceptance of this revolutionary new genre of printing, Mr. Weiner, along with his friend and partner, Dana Place, left KMS to begin their own company, Noalart Graphics, Inc., which rapidly climbed to the top of the demand-print industry and grew into one of the top five all-digital printing facilities in the country. Mr. Weiner and Mr. Place sold Noalart Graphics at the absolute peak of the dot-com boom to a publicly traded company, American Reprographics Corporation of California. At the time of the sale in June of 2000, Noalart was producing more than 11 million pages of all demand-based digital printing in black and white and another 300,000 pages of digital color, each month.
After a period of three years spent principally in support of various charitable organizations as board members and dedicated volunteers, Mr. Weiner and Mr. Place had a vision of blending the technologies that had been the basis of their success at Noalart, with state-of-the art variable data technology… all in support of non-profits. The One to One Group, established in 2003, is the actualization of that concept and brought these men and their families more than 1,500 miles from New England to Sarasota County. Today, The One to One Group specializes in bringing the power of variable data publishing and directed communications to the non-profit and philanthropic community. At the present time, the company serves almost 100 national and regional charities from its new corporate headquarters in the Lakewood Ranch Technology Park. They have raised more than $64 million for their clients since 2003.
The One to One Group was the 2006 PODi Best Practices Award Winner in the Small Business Category and the 2006 Fundraising Success Gold Award Winner for its work with The Out-of-Door Academy.
Mr. Weiner has been married to his wife, Kathleen, for 23 years. They have three daughters, and the family resides in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. Mr. Place has been married to his wife Melinda for more than 30 years, and they have two adult children and a son who is a junior at The Our of Door Academy in Sarasota. They also reside in the Lakewood Ranch community.
